Hamden: “The drops of rain make a hole in the stone not by violence but by oft falling”, Titus Lucretius Carus (ca. 99 BC – ca. 55 BC).

Can you imagine the softness of water being able to destroy a stone, though the destruction is not accomplished with one drop it is accomplished by many. This is the same principle of life, a person does not accomplish all they want in one try, it takes persistence in obtaining the things one wants, and if it does not happen the first time, second time or third time, try, try again.

At the Academy of Kempo Martial Arts persistence is needed to obtain a new rank. “There are new challenges in every rank, sometimes physical, sometimes mental and at times both. The person as a Martial Artist evolves and the techniques they have learned in the past must evolve along with them”, said Shihan Frank Ciarleglio head instructor at the Academy.

On July 28, 2012 Shihan Ciarleglio at the Academy of Kempo Martial Arts held a test and promoted these student to their new ranks; Junior Yellow Belt – Hailey Ciarleglio and Adnan Rizmi, Junior Orange Belt - J'Kob Adote, Areli Jimenez and Imran Lamhader, Junior Purple Belt - Noahaila Lamhader and Adult Purple Belt - Maya Ray. Congratulations on your success, hard work and persistence.
