Recently students from the Academy of Kempo Martial Arts in Hamden received
their new ranks. There were children and adults in the belt promotion, being
promoted to a new rank at the Academy takes an understanding of the movements
learned for each rank and the ability to perform those movements proficiently.
For the children it is equally important for them to show an improved
understanding of how to use respect, self-control and self-discipline. The way
the Martial Arts is taught at the Academy helps to instill the important values
in a child so they can become more successful in school, in sports and
eventually turn into a responsible adult. The Academy prides its self on its
character development program as well as its Martial Arts program; it is all
about having a strong body and a strong mind. This is taught in a fun atmosphere
while helping students with their physical fitness and at the same time with
self-defense skills that are greatly needed in today’s society.
Academy of Kempo Martial Arts would like to congratulate these students for
their achievements. Adult Ranks
